Day by Day
Itinerary
DAY1Kigoma to Gombe
Fly to Kigoma and continue by boat to Gombe Stream National Park.
DAY2Gombe chimpanzee tracking
Morning chimpanzee trek with a park guide, afternoon walk to the waterfall.
DAY3Gombe to Mahale
Boat to Kigoma and a short flight south to Mahale, then a boat ride to camp.
DAY4Mahale chimpanzee tracking
Hike into the Mahale forest to find the chimpanzees.
DAY5Mahale Mountains
Second trek or a relaxed day with a dhow trip and snorkelling on the lake.
DAY6Mahale and departure
Boat and fly back to Arusha or Dar es Salaam.
