Route Overview
About the Lemosho Route
Often called the most beautiful route, Lemosho starts on the remote western side and crosses the full Shira Plateau.
The first days pass through quiet forest where wildlife is sometimes seen, before crossing the wide Shira Plateau with views of Kibo ahead. It joins the Machame route at Lava Tower. The longer itinerary gives excellent acclimatisation and a strong chance of reaching the summit.
Why choose it
- Spectacular, varied scenery
- Quiet first days
- Excellent acclimatisation on 8 days
Keep in mind
- Longer, so slightly higher cost
- Longer drive to the starting gate
