The Roof of Africa

Your Kilimanjaro adventure

At 5,895 metres, Kilimanjaro is Africa's highest mountain and the world's tallest free-standing peak. Its routes pass through rainforest, heath, alpine desert and finally the glaciers of the summit, Uhuru Peak.

No technical climbing is needed, but good acclimatisation is key. Routes such as Machame and Lemosho allow more days on the mountain and better chances of reaching the summit. Many climbers pair the trek with a safari or a few days on Zanzibar.
