Itinerary
Seven days across Kenya and Tanzania begin with an early collection in Nairobi. After a safari briefing, you travel to the celebrated Maasai Mara National Reserve, taking the scenic Great Rift Valley. Panoramic views and lovely escarpments line the route, with photo stops on the way. The road then runs on through local towns and Maasai villages.
You check in to a tented camp or a mid-range safari lodge in time to enjoy lunch and relax. Later in the afternoon your first game drive takes you into the Maasai Mara, one of the richest wildlife reserves in Africa, inhabited by many kinds of antelope, hyenas, zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, buffalo, elephants and lions. While the migration is moving through, big wildebeest herds also cross the plains.
Thanks to its golden grasslands and teeming wildlife, the Maasai Mara is a paradise for photographers and nature lovers. When the sun goes down over the plains you head back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, and may relax by the campfire as nature sounds around you.

Your seasoned guide helps you follow animals and explains their behavior and the reserve's ecosystem.
You spend the day exploring different corners of the Maasai Mara, including riverbanks where crocodiles and hippos are frequently spotted. Large herds of elephants wander the plains alongside zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, gazelles and buffaloes, while birdwatchers can look out for eagles, vultures, ostriches and secretary birds.
At midday you stop for a picnic in a scenic spot within the reserve, so no wildlife time is wasted. If you wish, you can instead choose to visit a traditional Maasai village to learn about Maasai culture, traditions and daily life.
