Your professional safari guide collects you early from your Arusha hotel, and you then travel to Tarangire National Park, among Tanzania's best wildlife destinations, renowned for huge elephant herds, iconic baobab trees and diverse wildlife.

A full-day game drive is spent looking for elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest, with buffaloes, warthogs and plenty of antelope species possible too. Bird lovers are well served in Tarangire, where over 550 species have been recorded. You have a picnic lunch inside the park at midday, then resume wildlife viewing in the afternoon.

Afterwards you continue to your lodge for dinner and the night.

When breakfast is over, you pass through the busy village of Mto wa Mbu and then climb into the lovely Ngorongoro Highlands. The views here take in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Maasai villages, volcanic scenery and green hills, and you then carry on to Serengeti National Park.

Arriving in the Serengeti, you begin an exciting afternoon game drive over the renowned plains. Keep watch for zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, elephants, lions and plenty of other animals, until you settle into your lodge for the evening.

Devote the entire day to Serengeti National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best wildlife destinations in Africa.

On the morning and afternoon game drives you stand a strong chance of finding the Big Five: lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards and the rare black rhino. In season you may also see thousands of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles and predators crossing the endless plains in the Great Migration.

The Serengeti also gives you excellent wildlife photography, dramatic landscapes and special safari moments all day long.

Following an early breakfast, your exploration of Serengeti National Park goes on, now centred on the Great Wildebeest Migration.

Your experienced safari guide follows the herds’ movements to give you the best wildlife viewing. Depending on the season, thousands of wildebeest and zebras may be crossing the plains, and you might even see the dramatic Mara River crossings, with crocodiles and predators waiting.

Across the day you will also meet lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, elephants, giraffes and plenty of other species, which together place the Serengeti among the best safari destinations anywhere.

You return to your lodge at the end of yet another memorable Serengeti sunset.

You set off from the Serengeti early today and travel to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s best-loved natural wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You then descend about 600 meters to the crater floor for a fantastic game drive. The crater holds one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, and as you take in the spectacular scenery you can look for black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos and zebras. Wildebeest, hyenas, flamingos and many other species may appear as well.

After a picnic lunch on the crater floor, you head back towards Arusha. Our team then drops you at your hotel, Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport, so you can carry on with your journey or catch your flight to Zanzibar.
