Itinerary

Day 01 :

From Arusha to Tarangire National Park, with a game drive filling the day

Following breakfast, your professional driver-guide from Ceraa Eyes Safari collects you from your hotel in Arusha and drives you to Tarangire National Park. The park is best known for large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and beautiful scenery, and it is also home to lions, leopards, giraffes and zebras, along with more than 500 bird species.

A full-day game drive follows, with a fresh safari hamper lunch in the park, and then you go to your lodge to relax.

Day 02 :

Drive from Mto wa Mbu up over the Ngorongoro Highlands to Serengeti National Park

Following breakfast you drive first through the green Ngorongoro Highlands, with pretty views and a peek at rural Tanzania. By early afternoon you reach Nabi Hill Gate , the entrance to Serengeti National Park.

Once registration is complete, your first Serengeti game drive starts, a treat for anyone who loves wildlife. The Serengeti is most famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration, and lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants and more are all likely sightings too.

Day 03 :

Serengeti – Balloon Safari (optional) – Onward Transfer to the Ngorongoro Highlands

Begin the morning with a sunrise game drive, the time of day when predators are most active. If you fancy something special, you can also reserve a hot air balloon safari above the Serengeti (optional, at extra cost).

After breakfast you drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving in the afternoon with time to relax at your peaceful lodge close to the crater.

Day 04 :

Tour of Ngorongoro Crater, then a transfer to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport

Today is a high point of your safari. Early in the morning you drop into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site packed with wildlife. It is Tanzania's top location for seeing the endangered black rhino, and you can also find lions, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, hyenas, flamingos and other species.

A full game drive in the crater with a picnic lunch comes next. After that, you return to Arusha, or we drop you at Kilimanjaro International Airport ready for your flight back home or your onward trip to Zanzibar.
